Like you fleece SJS - but then take Mantha from Detroit for Hertl, which sure maybe the values are similar but why does Detroit move the younger player and still has upside for Hertl who doesn’t match their timeline at all - when they could even just move Mantha for better younger assets that better fit their timeline.

Detroit: why would they move Mantha for Hertl just to trade Hertl for assets when they could just trade Mantha for assets.

SJS doesn’t need zucker nor that poor of a return for Hertl if they’re selling. Detroit doesn’t need Hertl nor should they acquire him if they’re just gonna trade him.

If we sell Hertl we’re rebuilding so we have zero need for good players - we’d want futures and quality prospects
