To be honest Demko is our guy for the future and for now basically. Can't protect him and Price on expansion, plus Price is making way too much for us to resign Petey and Hughes. Edler likely retired a Canuck. I do like the idea if Gally and Chariot coming over but Bergevin would never give away Gally. Decent attempt tho

So there are four NTCs that gotta waive. Horrid deal for the Canucks taking on Price's `10.5m long term and Gallagher new 6.25m six year deal.

I have to disagree... habs are giving all the best players in this transaction... you may not like Price's contract... but it doesn't devalue Gally that much nor chariot.

Gally alone would get a better package that that... We are not gonna package him to move price... that would just be bad asset management.

I agree. Montreal are giving better players but the problem is the Canucks can't afford Price. He doesn't help us and makes it more difficult to sign our two franchise players. Gally is one of the better players in the league in my opinion and I doubt the Canadiens just throw him away for nothing. I never said Price devalues Gally, the whole point of my comment was Price is unnecessary, and Gally is a great acquisition/player
