My Mid-February Draft Rankings Top 70

Very nice rankings. It's just gonna be such a weird draft that there will never be a true set in stone type of rankings. My only comment is that:

Beniers is such a great hockey player. He's a player that every team would be thrilled to have. I just don't personally see him as the #1 prospect in the draft. I think he can be a third line guy as soon as next season, but I'm not so sure his ceiling is first line. He's more of an aggresive, heartsy two way second line in my opinion. I don't see a crazy offensive guy out there.

I just believe the ceiling of Power and Hughes is what will make them more intriguing for teams to select over Beniers. Johnson and Eklund as well has top line potential. Beniers is without a doubt the safest pick in the draft, he's going to be an effective NHLer. The ceiling is the question

I appreciate your respect. I wanted to, but I just couldn't put Power any higher given his lack of point totals right now. I 100% agree with your opinion. But as you said, in a wacky 2021 Draft, I think I would play it safe and take Beniers at #1. Johnson is similar to Zegras in my opinion. If he could put on a few pounds he might end up going 1st overall. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Edvinsson scares me, I'm a Shark fan and I get PTSD watching him the few times I have, would not consider him over Clarke. I have Lysell neck and neck with Eklund, I really rate them high. Raty has been a joy to watch recently, would pop him up a little.

I like this list. Four Michigan guys in picks 1-4...that would be something.

Eklund is 2nd forward off the board behind Beniers
Chaz Lucius goes higher (8-12 range)...in Guenther/Sillinger tier
Ayrton Martino gets into 1st round
Samoskevich gets inside top-20
Florian Elias in 2nd round
Bourgault falls to 2nd
Roy, Harrison also look a little high
