Considering Pageau was traded for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd last year, I think Danault's worth more than Engvall, Malgin and late 1st.
Maybe 1st and Mikheyev is more interesting than Engvall.
What about
Danault + Mete for Mikheyev, Dermott + 1st.

why would they trade Mikheyev? also Danault hasn't even scored this yr and is a rental so maybe a 1st, Engvall and a B prospect

I think in a shortened season though, there is a much lower chance a team would be willing to give up a 1st plus two young roster players in exchange for a guy who is having a mediocre season at best, is on an expiring contract, and who likely won't play in the top 6, along with someone who probably won't be able to get into the lineup.

Pageau had 24 goals and 40 points in 60 games and danault is on pace for less points than JG had goals in the same number of games. he isnt fetching a similar return

Leafs have a competent 3rd liner center in Kerfoot. Denault doesn't look as good now. If the Leafs are giving up a first, they certainly can get a better player on an expiring contract.

Wow, Mikheyev is better than Denault, and Dermot is better than Mete. The first would have to coming to the Leafs.. Leafs don't want to trade Mikheyvev who is playing well, and same with Dermot a top 6 defender. Really the current edition of Denault does nothing for the Leafs.(or the Habs)

I like Kerfoot at 2LW which is y I think they should acquire a 3C

But you need a 3C with some offensive get and go. Sure hasn't looked like Denault this year. Not sure where you get one Leafs are expecting Thornton and Simmons back...both wingers, maybe even Robertson, so I think they might kill the need for Kerfoot at wing. Kerfoot at wing during the PP would be OK.

maybe ur right. but I was thinking about a trade for Tierney for 3C too. there is still room for Kerfoot at 2lw with Thornton and Simmonds in the lineup cuz Robertson isn't nhl ready yet

I like Tierney and he has another full year on his contract. Interesting so many say, Kerfoot isn't good value at 3.5m, and Tierney makes 3.5m. For cap reason the Leafs would have to rid them of one of those contracts next summer. The non playoff Canadian teams might be best trade partners....Vancouver and Ottawa.
