You look like Homer when you say that he is bad and deserves a healthy scratch. But the metrics prove it's not bad and doesn't deserve a healthy scratch.

First off, metrics have never proved anything ever. Nor will they.

Second off, how does me, a bruins fan, commenting on a Sabres player make me a homer? That doesn’t make sense.

Come on dude, why did you ask to me with this Homer? I am from another country and I hardly know English, I see that you all call each other Homers, so I now use it, no offense.

I'm just saying that Skinner didn’t play badly, but he didn’t score, he was unlucky somewhere, but he didn’t look terrible. This is not entirely fair because he has not even played in the top 6, and players like Eichel, Hall and Olofsson also score almost nothing in ES, but they play in the top 6.

I can’t be a homer when speaking about a player on a team I’m not a fan of. It’s not possible. Think of the word HOME. When you are a HOMEr, you are blindly supporting the HOME team. So I can only act like a homer when referencing players on my favorite team. Get it?
