And then they’ll immediately use those assets to flip Vlasic, Jones and Co.
Jones actually hasn’t been the biggest problem this year. It’s been the roster players (mainly the top heavy lineup with consistency issues in the bottom end of the line up and since our top heavy lineup is “just good” not amazing like the leafs or EDM, we fail if they have a mediocre night, plus obviously lacklustre defence with Vlasic being useless and a rookie in Knyzhov being our best DFD, Ferraro being a great two way and Simek being just okay. Leaving Karlsson with Knyzhov which works but Ferraro is more TWD then DFD and Burns NEEDS a stay at home, pack the lunch, take a nap, don’t leave the d zone DFD).
Asides from that the Sharks don’t actually need to move much money out - and guys like Vlasic are buyout proof and trade proof. He’ll just be buried soon or mutually retire or something but I doubt we see any team willing to take on Vlasic or even be worth moving the assets for the Sharks.

It’s good in theory but I feel like the sharks rly don’t need any more bad contracts. I don’t think they should take anything on with more than a year after this one
Yeh I believe management is on the same page as this. I think they realize this because it’s a good idea to do this but they can’t be too ambitious because:
Ferraro gotta get paid after next year
Leonard soon as well
Knyzhov is a surprise development and now he’s gonna earn some dough soon
Those three alone should cost over 8mil:
Ferraro = 3 - 4.5m
Knyzhov = 1.5 - 2.5m
Leonard = 2 - 3m
All need contracts in two years. Otherwise no one else really does, or has shown they do. So I’d think we’d see Eriksson,
maybe Bozak or some other 1-2 year contracts. Nothing after next season is do-able. But everything 1-2 is plausible.
