Trying to gauge this team at the end of the year

Description
Seems a little light on Mika return but,

Eichel trade seems pretty sensible across the board:

Denisenko: Top line Ceiling
6 OA Pick: Another top line/top pair player like Luke Hughes or Kent Johnson
Schneider: Big Mobile, All situations defender who is close to NHL ready already at 19.
Lindgren: Young Physical solid 2nd Pair Dman who can PK
Connolly: Great Analytics Play Driver with a 20 goal pace in each of the last 2 seasons.
Another 1st Round Pick: Another Top 6/Top 4 Player.
Another 2nd Round Pick: Solid Middle 6/4 player
On top of all that Buff sheds about 5 mil in cap.

Reports were that Boston showed pretty sizable interest in Strome around the draft, but couldn't get something done.

Pretty much only didn't include a Deangelo trade since every fanbase gets pissed off when that happens lol. But likelihood he's gone at the deadline as well.

Bruins don't need Strome, any top9 C/RW. I've never heard about Bruins being interested in Strome either.

It was reported at the draft by a couple Boston beat reporters. Example: https://twitter.com/MurphysLaw74/status/1314590652399747073?s=20

Jimmy Murphy isn’t a bruins beat reporter. He’s a guy that’s been fired everywhere he’s ever worked, that was forced to start his own blog. Anything he ever says is a virtual certainty to be false.

Alright, for the info (and for the future), Boston Hockey Now, Jimmy Murphy or Joe Haggerty are not reliable sources. 3/4 times they're wrong and are just making up stuff.

I like how you are thinking outside the box, trade Zibanejad, then use those assets to trade for Eichel.
But it is not enough as it breaks down to Zibanejad, Schneider, Lindgren, and 2021 1st round pick (NYR) for Eichel. I think one of Kakko or Chytil would have to be in the trade.
On the other hand if a few changes:
Denisenko, Grigori
Chytil, Filip
Connolly, Brett
Miller, K'Andre
Strome, Ryan
2021 1st round pick (NYR)
2021 1st round pick (FLA)
Then add DeAngelo, Tony to balance the cap.
This combination fills three holes for Buffalo RW, LHD and Center.
Buffalo would be taking a big risk here as none of the players or picks should turn into someone as good as Eichel.
But this is certainly close IMO.
I would love to hear your feedback.

Like you said, Denisenko has top line upside... So it confuses me a bit why we trade him as well as other valuable assets for a guy who's currently playing like a 3rd liner...

Rangers problems aren't really Mika, Quinn hasn't adjusted his offensive zone transition scheme to accommodate for the fact that Martin's defensive zone exit scheme is largely based on passing out as opposed to dmen carrying out (and actually carrying in) like last year. Quinn's really the worst coach in the league by a country mile analytically.

The issues teamwide don't really stop there, the PP is pretty much in shambles since they've removed Deangelo from the squad, it's more of a structural thing. They try and run a 1-3-1 but the handedness in the structure is all off, they have Panarin floating on the right wall and Buch in the middle and then they change the PP1 squad every 2 games, it's a mess.

On top of that Quinn's line shuffling has been ridiculous and Mika has had 7 different wingers over the course of like 15 games.

All of which to say...none of Mika's "issues" are Mika's issues it's primarily a coaching issue and if he were to play under Q he'd likely instantly become what he was 2 years ago (a 70 point C with great defense that can play PK1/PP1)
