This is something to push for winning the cup this year, I am well aware that likely you are losing grzelcyk at the end of the year to expansion in this instance, however you are getting a phenomenal defenseman whose been in the shadows of Josi, will instantly make Boston even more of a favorite than they already are. The hope was Lauzon and Zboril to take the reins on the D this will still allow for them to behind a veteran, in the case they lose Grizz. They have another player in Jack Ahcan who has been ascending to the top of their minutes played in Providence who is seen as someone krug like when he left SCSU, and has so far produced at the pro level. Therefore starting a log jam of NHL Defenseman, at somepoint you have to cash in your chips for once to give 37, 63, 46 another kick at the can with some guarantees and that is with Ekholm, A.I, and Arvidsson.
Forwards: Moving DeBrusk was a hard enough move to make, however I think now is the time to cash in on one of the most underated players in the NHL Alex Iafallo, entering UFA year, Boston pursuit of the Cup and LA is in rebuild mode, I see this being mutually beneficial for this stretch and longevity.
Nashville: Takes a Gamble on Kase, gets a cost controlled D in Cliffy whos a much needed RD for NSH, and a pick while going to rebuild mode, Boston gets Arvidsson a known scorer, and playoff performer to Give DK46 wingers that complement each other well.
Why would you trade DeBrusk for Iafallo? He's younger and has a higher ceiling. Did DeBrusk turn to crap or something?
Inconsistent and two-way game hasn't quite developed the way Boston had anticipated after a good rookie campaign, Iafallo is one of the most underrated pieces I think that will be avaliable playing with Kopitar, solid 2-way game, possession game will fit Krejci, and ability to produce.

Debrusk’ s game is usually pretty consistent, it’s the scoring that isn’t.
Overall, i just don’t think this meshes with the organizational structure. The biggest flaw is that ekholm isn’t eligible for an extension, so they can’t trade him with an extension in place (that’s ridiculously rare anyhow). They can talk about it, but nothing’s official until pen hits paper.
The only trade here that i think makes any sense for boston in a vacuum is the arvidsson one, and I don’t think there’s a snowballs chance in hell taht Nashville would take that.
Iaffalo playing with Kopitar has maxed out at 17 goals. He very well may be better all around, but the Bruins need secondary scoring. Debrusk scores more.
I love me some Krejci, but Kopitar is better. That is an absolutely horrible return for Debrusk. Why not hold debrusk and sign Iaffalo in the Offseason. Debrusk has 3 years of team control left. It would cost way more than a 4th. Probably a 1st, but depends where LA is in standings.
Iafallo's adjusted point comparison is Kase. It also opens up Grzelcyk to Seattle.
