Just wanted to see how my team looked on here. It's a shame that EA's trade engine/CPU GM AI is so bad (That's how I got Horvat at the deadline). I've done some custom player edits to try and get player values a bit more realistic, but there's still some that are way overvalued, and way undervalued. I wish they'd add NMC/NTC, roster sharing, and 31 (32) team control so that we could make it a bit more realistic.
I didn't use the "Add 1 year" to contracts, but adjusted certain pending UFA's (Hall, Landy, etc.) so that they wouldn't be in free agency at the beginning.
I just came through the trade deadline and accidentally snagged Horvat. I was just trying to assess his value, and they ended up accepting a trash offer (Mind you, he's got 8 goals, 12 assists and is -18 through 52 games so far...so maybe it automatically dropped his value?).
Foligno is kind of funny. His faceoff rating is outstanding, and in real life, he plays more of a winger/hybrid center role (319 faceoffs last year), but he's been really solid as my 3C. Expansion draft-wise, NHL ready centers were pretty much non-existent, so I had Iafallo playing 2C until I made the Horvat trade. I also moved my 5OA draft pick to Detroit in year one for their 2021 1st rounder, which now looks like a pretty dumb move since 5 OA was an elite potential RD, who's already rated 78 OA, and Detroit is currently sitting in 8th in the NHL standings. I also have my 1st rounder, plus New Jersey's, which is currently projected to be 2OA.
Anyway, I just wanted to see the roster from this point of view.
