First my guess is they learned from the ROR trade...2nd there is no bonus due next year so no rush like with ROR and third no matter how much he stamps his feet to get traded they don't have to trade him. Sabres have all the control until the 22-23 season when his NMC kicks in, then the teams available to trade with get limited. I think he gets the Sabres at least 3 solid pieces. If I'm the Sabres I look at LA or ANA as their prospect pools are strong.
