Trading McCann for a player who isn't as good as McCann isn't an upgrade.

The guy has been out there with no help, not only in the forward group but on the blueline as well.
It's ok, he's not McDavid he can't carry 4 other guys. But that doesn't mean you run the guy out after he's played well.

McCann is a much better defensive player. Bennett is statically about as average an NHL player can find.

VAN probably accepts but don't know if Pitt would make that move.

It's hard to see where he fits when they don't have anyone for him to play with.
I mean that 3rd line was suppose to be a fast aggressive 2 way line. And fast spunky McCann fit that bill. But they gave him nothing to work with.
