I don't why people think Thornton can play centre anymore....sorry folks it's 2021. Kerfoot is certainly good and needed at centre. What is so special about Iafallo? More just nonsense thinking he is difference maker, of course Taylor Hall might be in that category now also.

Toffoli returned a 2nd. How does Iafalo return a 1st. Dallas can give their 1st for him if they want him that bad.

Madden and a 2nd* and if you haven't noticed, Madden's stock rised before that trade. He was the best player in NCAA last year.

Not to mention Iafallo performed better than Toffoli did last year.

Maybe you should watch some NHL games. I can admit Iafallo, adding Iafallo to the Leafs (or to most teams) would help. But it's the subtraction of assets needed to obtain him, according to 99% of the posts make it bad deal for the Leafs. Obviously according to CF followings, Iafallo isn't wanted by other NHL teams, cause it seems that Iafallo can only be traded to the Leafs. Doesn't seem much of a market for him if the Leafs are the only team bidding for his services.

There has been many Iafallo trades on here the last month or so mainly Toronto and Colorado, but I've seen some on teams like Buffalo and a couple others quite a bit. Same as most Leafs ACGMs, they think he can be had for scraps which ain't gonna happen. Top 6 winger at 2.4M, 1.2M if retained 50%. I'm sure you can figure out that wouldn't come cheap in a market where almost all playoff teams don't have cap space to go after a 4M+ top 6 winger.

How? Toffoli got more points in less games.
Not to mention LA didn't even get the 4th round pick and there is a quarenteen for any players coming back to Canada for a shortened season.

If LA gets a 1st for Iafallo the other GM would be fired on the spot.

In LA, Toffoli had 34 points in 58 games. Iafallo had 43 points in 70 games. Iafallo's PPG is higher.

Plus Iafallo can play center. Also gives him some good value.

LA didn't get the 4th rounder, but it still was a conditional part of the trade.

We can go back and forth with this debate, but I'm gonna call that LA will get a first for the guy should they deal him, or something very close to this value.
