Jets decline imo. They need a good big defensive forward more than they need a stop gap top 4 ld who will just block the way for heinola, Samberg, and Stanley next year. Anyways, I’m comfortable with the jets top 4 ld tbh. Morrissey can be much better and forbort has been excellent.

They need to make a move for a big top 4 rd though. Preferably one who can move the puck well. The oilers game showed the jets that they simply have a lot of room to improve on the back end. Not just in terms of defending but in terms of puck moving. Therefore, a guy like savard or ristolainen would be an ideal target

Especially now that we just hired Lowry's Dad as an Assistant Coach I can't see us trading him. He's such a huge part of our shut down line. Without him we have almost no grit in our lineup.

He'll be signed by the Jets after the expansion draft. My guess is it'll be Scheifele, PLD, Lowry, Gustafsson as the 4Cs for the next half decade or until Lowry retires whatever happens first.

I just don't think this trade makes the Jets better, short term or long term. We've got Heinola and Samberg that we can plug in once they show their up to it in the AHL.
