He was signed like 2 months ago. Every pending Ufa is different. From trading Hall to trading Vesey they're both pending UFAs.

Anyway there are two things to think about:

What is a player worth in general (what's a 50-60 point winger who can play c worth for 1/2 a season in their prime)

AND

What's he worth to the organization he's currently with.

Nashville is 3 games below 500 but it's early in the season.

Right now he's a decent forward. Replacing him with Vesey and eating cap is worth a tonne more than a third and a meh prospect.

He's probably worth a second plus without retention.
