Dont think Ekholm is worth 6 years of Danault, 3 years of mete and a 1st. He is good but the difference between him and an extended Danault is closer to just a pick, not multiple other pieces

I'd think Detroit would do that unless they want to resign Glendening. His value should be around a 3rd and taking back Weal just saves us from retaining any salary.

Value probably isn't bad but Nashville should be getting prospects/younger instead of treading water. Our biggest problem on forwards is that we don't really have anyone outside of Forsberg that can put the puck in the net and this doesn't change that.

I mean danault is only going to be 28 soon, he would still be one of your youngest C and is a monster on D....Kulak would be one of the younger D also, can maybe give Mete instead of kulak but would take the 2nd away. MTL doesn't really have wingers to give because caufield is a no lol

I just don't think Nashville should be in a win now mode. We don't have any scoring wingers outside of Forsberg and Arvidsson and our prospect pool is thin on that front. Danault would be a fine C but without anyone to score on his wings his points will drop like Duchene and Joey's have this past year or two.

I believe Yzerman will resign Glendening for 2 years to act as a faceoff guy and s stop gap for the younger center in the minors.
