Brown won't be traded. He's been the best winger on the Kings for 4 seasons in a row now.

That's not saying much. This would be a great return for him plus his age doesn't really fut the rebuild. Can't see LA turning it down. I wouldn't give up half of this for him

13 point in 14 games isn't saying much? He's tied in 2nd for powerplay goals my guy, he's still good and we ain't trading him....

Brown is doing better than most RWs in the league right now, Kings decline.

Brown is worth more to LA than any team would realistically give up for him in a trade, therefore they won't trade him. He'll retire in a Kings' jersey.

You said it yourself, he gets most of his points on the pp. He wouldn't be on the top pp unit of most teams. Plus I wouldn't put too much weight into this seasons stats. It's a weird format which is making for some weird stats. Dude's 36, making almost 6 mil and had 14 good games on a last place team. Not worth giving up 3 good pieces for. He's also shooting 23%. Way higher than his career average 9%. He'll fall back down to his averages.

Usually that status is reserved for franchise players that win cups like doughty and kopitar. Brown was never more than a good NHL player that won cups. Weird that they'd put him on that level.

Ummm....Brown was the Captain of both Cup teams, is the franchise leader in games played, and was tied for the goal and point scoring lead with Kopitar during the playoffs in the 2012 Cup run. Not sure how that doesn't qualify.

Nashville trade is not a waste. The Sabres need a winger liker Brown, leader, tough, physical, gritty, will put up points. To many soft players and its no wonder their top 6 cant do anything 5v5. Just more proof the NHL is a physical league still

NHL is a scoring league. They're missing wide open chances. Goalies are letting in easy goals. They just outhit the Islanders by ten hits. Neither of these trades make the team a contender.

Sabres should be either getting a goalie or selling off rentals. Not giving up assets for a guy who's 36 or a bottom 6 winger. Brown has a NTC too. Why the hell would he leave LA to go to Buffalo.

They played them well defensively yes, the defense doesnt need work. That doesnt help in the offensive zone. They missed like 1 open chance, and that was after they decided to drive the net

Except he's been very good and consistent every season since 2017-18. His production isn't just an abnormality this year. He has earned every dollar of his contract since Sutter was fired.

He's never been as good as his numbers are this season. Players don't have career years at age 36 and his shooting percentage is twice his average. Yes it is 100% an abnormality this year. But it probably won't continue for a full season. Sell high!

Brown had a career year in 2017-18 at age 33. He followed up with similar numbers each of the following seasons, missing 10 games due to injury in 2018-19 and another handful in the already shortened 2019-20. His performance thus far this season isn't significantly out of line with any of the past 3 season.

Regardless, the point is that LA is happy with Brown and he isn't going anywhere. Even if his play does fall off, they want him around for his leadership and other intangibles that are invaluable on a team full of kids.

That's totally cool cus I doubt there'd be much interest around the league in acquiring brown. I agree that he's valued more to the kings than the rest of the league. I'm just saying this offer is much higher than any team would actually offer.

I'm pretty sure I said that too. Even still, I think LA would turn this offer down.
