I remember reading from somewhere that before Zaitsev was traded to Ottawa, he didn't want the pressure of playing in a loud and hockey-crazed market where he would always be under the microscope 24/7, particularly in Canada.

The three California teams might be on Zaitsev's No-Trade List because of the Flee California Movement from people like Joe Rogan and Ben Shapiro. Also, California is further away from Ottawa/Toronto than any other NHL market.

I added Detroit because of their losing record from the last 2 years, which has been a complete and total disaster. Also, based on the crime and murder that goes on there and the videos I've seen from charliebo313 on youtube, living in Detroit doesn't look very appetizing :(
