Description
I’ve seen fans of these 3 teams make proposals for Garland fairly often on this website, and they’re all terrible. You are not getting a ppg player for a 3rd liner and a middling prospect. I am not exaggerating when I say that Garland is the best player that the Coyotes have put on the ice since they went to the conference finals in 2012. He is on a rockstar contract and with a ton of money coming off the books the coyotes will have no problem signing him to a bigger deal next year.

Now to the trades. You’ll notice I titled this post UNrealistic trades for Garland because that’s the point. The Coyotes will only trade him for a massive overpay. So save the comments about how unfair it is because that is literally the point. None of the trades will ever happen because of the asset cost to the trading team, and Coyotes will not accept anything less.

I think you are missing the point. This is a board qhere trades are discussed. We are discussing your ober reaction to what you've seen as under payments

And I’m telling you that these trades are meant to be unrealistic. It’s literally in the title. I want some of what you’re smoking if you think a single Leafs post involving Garland from the last few weeks has been remotely close to fair. Welcome to the opposite end of the spectrum

Thats the point. It would take so much to even get the coyotes to consider dealing him. I had someone on here tell me that Kerfoot and Dermott plus a 4th would be a deal the coyotes “would be stupid to refuse”.

I get that this is an annoying post but it annoys me to see the blind stupidity that this site breeds sometimes.

yeah i see what you are trying for here now. worth the post, knocks some sense into the other fanbases.

So you're rationale is to drastically overpay? Absolutely terrible post.

No, it's to play their game but to the opposite direction. Both sides need to meet in the middle.

I am all for a price correction on Garland...but we may be over-correcting a bit here.

    I'd say closer to...

    TOR- Sandin, Amirov
    PIT- Marino, Pouiln
    EDM- Bouchard, 2nd

Fine. Here’s something more realistic for you.

Garland does not get 2 top prospects from Toronto, not would he get one of the best defensive d-man and a top prospect from Pittsburgh. A top young roster player like Bouchard and a 2nd is far closer. But those first 2 at joke offers

You say this like none of the leafs fans have done this before. When a player is traded for horrendous value every post on the site, eventually you're bound to boil over. The response on this thread alone shows that it has worked exactly as he intended.

Take a chill pill... no reason to call him names on his own thread.

Great so we agree! Garland isn’t going anywhere because the price of his acquisition is too high. Glad I can help you finally understand what’s going on here

So let’s turn the site into a Leafs echo chamber where they can acquire anyone they want for half off value. Oh wait it already is. You get so pressed when people do the opposite because you’re too busy stroking it to these fairy-tale values you’ve convinced yourselves are realistic.

Oh right, because players love playing for the great franchise located in Arizona. It's a great market that only attracts world class players. & doing so, they're players are "worth" an astronomical amount that 1 or their like 27 fans thinks.

Glad we're on the same page.

No, im saying this because it's dumb when everyone does it, and the fact that so much mustard was put on emphasis means that this looks all the worse.

I’m shocked that it’s taken this long for one of you to bring this up. You lot north of the border all have the same comebacks. So predictable.

Yeah living in 70 degree weather all season while getting paid more money than they would make in Toronto due to local taxes really sounds miserable. And while we’re on the topic of history, let’s talk about the fact that the coyotes have more playoff series wins than the Leafs in the last 10 years lol.

& yet the organization still can't sustain themselves financially without the help of the NHL. They get caught cheating at testing draft eligible prospects when they knew they weren't supposed to. Draft the most cancerous prospect to come out of the draft in quite sometime.

& wanna talk about playoffs? How many cups does the Coyotes/Jets franchise have? Hell how many cup finals appearances do they have?

But yeah, sounds like a great place to go and play. See you in the cup finals in 34 years!

I haven't mentioned the leafs once to you. I woulda called you out if it was the exact same post minus the leafs trade.

The last time the Leafs won the Stanley Cup not only did the Coyotes not exist, the JETS didn’t even exist. What a tradition of excellence. Seems to me like if a player wanted to win the cup Toronto is the LAST place they should go.

Unless you’re older than my parents you have never seen the Leafs win the cup. But keep talking about your storied history, I’m sure it’s a great bedtime story for the kids.

Oh and the ownership angle is so old. The new owners are billionaires and deeply invested in the valley. GM who cheated is gone and draft pick is not even playing hockey anymore. Next

Wow. Can talk about your teams history but not the other team? Yeah that really justifies your point.

When's the last time Arizona signed a high quality free agent? Hmm, seems more and more elite players are willing to come to Toronto still, despite you're criticism. But Arizona must have an excellent tradition to be able to steal free agents from any other market. Drafting a racist, unethical, piece of trash player really solidifies that.

Sorry but if you in any way think that Arizona is a superior market or team to Toronto specifically, you need to get checked out. 😂

Edit: forgot to mention, you say "that draft pick isn't even playing hockey anymore" yet Arizona drafts him and signs him with knowledge off the situation. The only reason they terminated the contract was because the media brought the story up which showed how bad of an organization they were for the move in the first place. But yeah, real high class team. A+ for sure!

Ya that’s not what I’m saying. No **** Toronto is a better hockey market. Just saying the “come to Toronto and win a cup” narrative is so old it can collect social security. All those elite free agents signing in Toronto and you still can’t make it out of the first round, props to you on a very well run organization.

I’m not defending the draft pick. It was a stupid decision especially in this social climate.
