Yeah. TJ isn't a cap dump a la Lucic/Eriksson/Vlasic/Okposo/Seabrook/etc, he still provides a lot of good things for a team. He's just overpaid by a mil or a bit more than 1 mil

He actually could have had 5 but someone missed a breakaway pass to him in the 3rd. I think what we saw Smith do tonight along the boards is the role Johnson has been relegated to, but that's not his game. He's best working the front of the net and waiting for a quick release attempt from a pass from someone along the boards. Maybe Cirelli being out will be a blessing in disguise for Johnson being able to get back to center.

If It was Stammer without Kuch or Point, or if it was Kuch without Point or Stammer, the team wouldn't look as good. I think Point is the best skater behind Hedman on this team

Imagine in the playoffs when kucherov is back (if everyone is healthy. I'm looking at you Stamkos) we could have a Maroon-Johnson-Joseph 4th line. That is better than a lot of teams 3rd lines and maybe some 2nd lines as well

I think we're in a real good spot come the playoffs. Smith, Stephens, and Volkov are going to have to sit, plus 1 of Maroon, Johnson, or Joseph when we go 11/7. We'll have plenty of forward depth.

I think that there is no way to justify benching one of Johnson, Joseph, or Maroon for one of Schenn or Foote. I would rather just go for 12/6
