If you were willing to give up Perfetti you would get enough value, but then he probably wouldn't want to re-sign

Yeah, i know, at least while wheeler is still in town imo. If the article out of Finland has even a spec of truth, then there’s no chance he comes back while wheeler is in town. Absolutely no chance. However, he liked being in Winnipeg and he was sad to go. He had a life here and spend more than just the hockey season here (he spent about a third of his off-seasons here). He got a lot of slack from management that most teams wont give him. Maybe there’s a chance

NEVER. Not trading JoMo. I think he’s still the jets bets d-man hands down. He’s going through a rough patch but he will be fine. He’s trying to do a little too much right now but I’m not even worried tbh. He will be fine. Even if dougie comes to town, JoMo will be the backbone of this d-core because he is a leader, which the jets simply don’t have on the backend (other than forbort but idk about you, but he’s not really in my consideration for giving an A to)

Honestly, if he’s willing to come back and sign, id do it. That said, I’d rather make a move in which we can keep perfetti and heinola. Other than that, it’s open season.

As bad as he has been, I think the team needs him and that doesn’t put a good image on the organization either. He’s only a couple of years into his extention.

As for the team needing him, he’s still the team leader. Scheifele isn’t ready for that role yet. There’s still major consistency issues in his game and I don’t want that in my captain personally.

If he gets up one day and says he wants to finish his career elsewhere (highly doubt it) the jets should move him.
