Vomit. Obviously SJS fans hate the trade, I hate the trade from Avs side. Dubnyk is a sieve and the Avs could have just given Nieto the same contract and kept him in the off season. The Avs need to nut up and play Kaut and Bowers, they were 1st rd picks, there are a ton of injuries, stop being reclamation heaven for guys like Sherwood and use what you’ve spent time, money and draft capital in.

I wouldn't mind Nieto as a super cheap rental for a very late round pick though, presuming that Bowers and Kaut have been given opportunities before then and not looked ready. Some extra depth wouldn't be a bad thing for the playoffs, especially since Nieto already knows Bednar's systems and has the speed to be useful. I wouldn't count on him to be more than a 15/16th forward though. Ideally we could target someone with a bit more physicality to replace Calvert though.
