Don't the Oilers have one or two pretty good goalie prospects? If so then include one of them and if the Ducks really wanted Holloway imo the Oilers should do it, they can't f**k around any longer, need to get a quality goalie that can make up for their weak defensive play, how many years can you waste when you have two of the best players in the game.

Ducks would need a top 10 in the league level prospect as the centrepiece. Like a Makar (As a prospect not current value) level player, then you're adding multiple significant pieces on top of that, like your Bouchards, Brobergs and Bears. EDM doesnt have the high-end prospects to get the conversation started.

Any trade for Gibson needs to be an overpay to make ANA consider it. It would make sense to pay what the asking price would be for any team, but at the same time theres no reason for ANA to trade him for anything less than a gross overpay

As I said, they dont have the high end prospect that it would take to get a foot in the door, they dont have a Zegras level prospect. The Ducks have plenty of quantity, the need high end quality and the oilers dont have that

Well I didn't say they should trade him for nothing. I just think that if they were to dangle him around the league, the best offer they could get would be more beneficial to the teams future than keeping him. I wouldn't be opposed to moving him if I were the GM is all I'm saying.

Even more so because the Oilers are desperate for a goaltender and a number of other teams could also see that Gibson is up for offer and table a much more significant trade.

I love Gibson but let’s not get carried away. There is no goalie in the NHL that would fetch what a lot of posters on here are suggesting
