NJD pass. Both are UFAs and they'd prefer Palmieiri. If they did trade Palms, it would be for a prospect.

Preferably....a right-shot winger prospect, who can shoot and finish, would have have level of chemistry with Hughes, could play PP, and figure into future top-6. Size not a must. Big smiles are a plus. Anyone fit that description?

NJ would have to add to Palmerie to get Caufield if that's what you're hinting at

Why are we trading Tuna exactly?

I feel we'd have a better chance of extending Palmieri than Tatar, since its salary ask would be lower.
Also it’d be a great fit with KK and Caufield IMO.

What attitude, I asked a legitimate question. Tuna has been our best scorer over the last 2 seasons. Those are the guys you try to extend IMO not trade. Palmari is also a downgrade on Tuna hence the reason it would be easier to sign him.

I know that Palmieri is a bit of a downgrade but not that much. In fact, he brings a different set of skills. Habs will not sign Danault AND Tatar so why not trade one so we could have assets for next year.

I think they sign Danault and use Tatar as their own rental for the playoff run. Trading Tatar for Palmari would mean we don't have either for 14 days. That could significantly change our chances of making the playoffs this season.
