Description
I do feel the goaltending is good enough. maybe the defence could use one more piece. same with the offence. adding that one defenceman on the right side, a 3LW. a 4th line of Lehkonen-Byron-Armia would be alot of teams 3rd lines. THE TRADES ARE EXAMPLES DONT TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY. YES I KNOW IM OVER THE CAP.

Byron is not a C and I if I may add, I've been watching very closely Evans and he does so many little things correctly. So much so, that I keep trying to find a 3rd C once Danault is gone next year but I would not be surprised if Evans bumps up to the 3rd C position by next season. And several former Hab players echo this sentiment.

yesterday was a bad game, it happens. They will be better on Saturday. Also Price is not at the top of his game yet.

I couldn't agree more. Evans is a very underrated player and I'm starting to like his game more and more each time he hits the ice. I think Montreal is very set at the center position with Suzuki, KK, Evans, and Poehling/Vejdemo down the middle. It's a young center group but I think that it will work itself out in the years to come.

In order to at least make it out of the North Division this year, I think they just need one of their young centers to really be able to dominate a game. They're easily deeper than any team in the division, so that's not a problem at all. I just think that they really need someone to really take over down the middle, just seeing the elite centers they'll have to go up against.

Def not gudbranson lmao. I'd like to add one superstar forward. Maybe KK and Suzuki become that ? I don't know. Maybe Caufield becomes that? maybe. but a player like Hall would be a great add.

He'll have way more support in mtl. as great as eichel is, that team has no depth. for the habs, if the danault line doesn't play well, the KK line or Suzuki line will step up. heck even our "4th line" with evans and lehkonen is prob better than most teams 3rd lines.

Every team would love to have two massive offensive C's. Winnipeg and Edmonton do. But both their defense is so so. Leafs have Matthews but Tavares is more of a cerebral player such as Suzuki is. If no injuries, no long slumps and hot goaltending MTL can come out of the North.

"If no injuries, no long slumps and hot goaltending MTL can come out of the North". Well no duh tears of joy Without trying to predict a hot streak or anything like that, the Canadiens have to at least contain the other top centers in the division and let their depth win matchups in the opposition's bottom six. If a Suzuki line is primarily matched up against a Matthews line or Scheifele line or McDavid line, that's not a matchup the Habs are going to win more often than not. Not a knock against Suzuki at all, he's just not there yet.

Montreal definitely has a better defense core than any of the other three that should make the playoffs, and Price is obviously still capable of stealing games, but so is Connor Hellebuyck. I'm not sure I like Montreal's chances against Winnipeg with their center depth and goaltending. A series against Toronto would be fascinating, but I again question how well they could successfully play through the middle against Matthews and Tavares. The Habs have an excellent chance at making it to the Final Four, no doubt about it. I just wouldn't consider them the favorite.

That is accurate and fair. Jets and Leafs are good. Hopefully covid stays away and we get to watch excellent playoff hockey.
