All oilers fans complained about nurse at some point in their life but we are legitimately ****ed in the short term without him.

Next year with klef back broberg and Jones you are good, nurse won’t resign with EDM that is for sure unless they overpay, in the other hand Debrusk want to play for EDM not because of mcdavid but because of hometown there isn’t a lot of people that want to play in EDM

Ottawa rejects easily. Why would Ottawa want Moore when they already have several better defenceman on the left side and several prospects they already can't give ice time to.

You wanna clear cap space you gotta pay big.

There is a pretty good chance klefbom doesn't play again and even then he never played more than 80% of the games and there isn't anybody besides nurse who could cover for him. if you have Caleb jones on the top pairing that's a scary proposition. Broberg won't be ready for more than 3rd pairing and even then a responsible organization would make him spend time in the minors. Dmitriw Samorukov is farther along in development i'd say he gets a look before broberg.

Boston seems like they would want to get more for DeBrusk, and Nurse has been complained about. Hasn't really lived up to expectation either. I'm not sure how a pairing of him and McAvoy would work, but it looks like Boston would get a better deal out of that. Boston would probably look for someone higher up in the market. For Edmonton too this leaves them completely screwed when it comes to defenseman. I've heard a ton of complaints about the guy, but he's not given enough credit for what he does on the Edmonton blueline especially when it's such a young core. DeBrusk brings a lot of wing offense, but the thing is Edmonton isn't having issues with offense they are having issues every time they have to dig the puck out of their own net.

    It's interesting deal, but overall.

    Edmonton Oilers

Probably not going to make the deal due to this making the defense worse than it already is, and adding in unneeded scoring when they need to focus on the defensive end..

    Boston Bruins

Probably looks for a better option, a few better options that most likely aren't really for sale per say, but are definitely available if someone is willing to give up a good amount. Boston isn't in a position to give up a ton, but are willing to spend to fix that LHD spot when both Chara, and Krug both left last season. My guess is a guy like Hampus Lindholm/Cam Fowler on a team like the Ducks that are really struggling to find their way, and are well on the way to a full rebuild. I'd be interested in seeing if Boston is willing to give up a little bit of their future Vaakanainen maybe, or even Studnicka. (I don't think Boston would) Just strictly me guessing at this point what the cost would be for either one of them, but one of the two could be a perfect fit on a team like the Bruins.

Nurse isn't a top pair guy and I don't think the Bruins want to sign any free agent to a long-term contract (RNH) now, Both Paquette and Watson are bad. Zboril/Lauzon/Clifton is probably gone.

My personal question, and I've been thinking about this. I know Hampus Lindholm is risky because of the 2 years left on his deal, and maybe he does maybe he doesn't re-sign.

What if Debrusk for Fowler as a base deal. You get a guy long-term although not sure if he's a Top Pairing either.

I've considered Fowler like 4-5 years ago but not interested in his contract now. It's not a disaster and he's only 29 but as you said, he isn't a top pair guy. If he was, I wouldn't mind the contract. It's literally the one Krug had couple months ago.

    Also, welcome to CapFriendly.

Thank You, plan to articulate and gain good knowledge from the fans around me.

So is Hampus Lindholm a good choice would you say? Or do you guys stick it out until Dougie Hamilton is on the market. (Maybe even stick it out 2 years and wait until John Klingberg, and Seth Jones).

RD is set with McAvoy-Carlo so you can scratch the RD options. Bruins will need money for Pastrnak and McAvoy in 2-3 years so I don't expect a $9M+ contract. Bruins' management probably go with the young dmen like this season and add a rental at the deadline. I can't really predict for 2022-23 or even next year, it depends if we're still contenders or not.

Lol Ritchie has as many points as your top producer right now. Detroit has been a dumpster fire for 5 years now and you haven't won a playoff series since the 2012-2013 season. Your teams needs all the help it can get.

LOL, Oh I wouldn't trade Ritchie for a 3rd with how he's playing. To think DET couldn't use a 25yr old 30pt PWF though is as laughable as DET's performance the last 5 years.

Thanks Bro! I hope you enjoy watching your team piss away another year of Larkin's career. Good news is since there's only 56 games DET might improve their -122 goal dif from last year. Although it could be close because right now their on pace for around -100 goal dif.

    cheers
