I think they would run with Gawdin, a lot of people expected him to make it out of camp, I don't love Gawdin personally but that's why there are much smarter people than me running NHL organizations. I had Howden in there before but I really think the Flames are targeting right shot players.

I don't think people can roll their eyes enough at this. He tweets offside things and his politics are what they are. Someone on here actually called him a Nazi today which is always hilarious. He's blackballed in NY because he tried to fight a goalie, take our politics elsewhere.

While I do believe politics doesn't have a place in hockey, extreme beliefs don't either. A guy who pedals conspiracy theories and supports white nationalists is dangerous. I think there are lines that need to be drawn and he crosses them all the time. Laughing it off is just ignorant. The game is striving to be more inclusive and guys like DeAngelo work against that. I would never want him anywhere near my team. Anyone who does is should re-evaluate what is and isn't acceptable behavior for a person in his position.

I'm definitely not getting into on here, no point in that. I think you are telling the most absolutely dramatic side of the story because that's how the story is told on Twitter and that's fine.

I wouldn't risk it if I was a GM. Any player who gets traded because of attitude issues, then gets traded again and then breaks out before his attitude gets him put on waivers where no one wants him for free, seems like a big risk.
