Yes he is (although I wonder sometimes lol), but my point still stands. I've seen a lot of Toronto fans doing similar discounts because a guy wants to win a cup and he's from the area.

To be fair (to be faaaaaaaair), There are some hometown guys on cheap contracts here, so on the surface it does look like people take a hair cut on their pay. But not to the same extent shown on this team.

The only guys I can think of (maybe there's more) are guys like Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds. It all guys that are trying to stick around the NHL looking for a cup and willing to play for little money to do it.

Precisely, which turns into people thinking that everyone will take discounts to play here. Which obviously isn't the case.

At the end of the day, this team is far from realistic for many different reasons.
