I have read many things that GMBT doesn't like retaining. I am sorry but that is a no from GMBT if it is true

Kings decline to the guy who thinks Roy sucks but constantly trades for Roy. Basically Blake would just be hoping to get a player like Roy (who won’t be ready for 4-5 years) with that second rounder, Maglin has zero value. Moore for 4th is probably fair. The Kings don’t want to rebuild forever, so for the millionth time. They decline unless a nearly ready NHL defensive prospect is coming back.

These Roy trades keep getting worse.

We're perfectly happy with local boy Moore and even happier with Roy, so we have no desire to ship them out, especially for futures.

To put it another way, we're not trading two actual NHL roster players for an AHLer and two next-year draft picks.

Why the Leafs would want to give up so much to get Bennett, I can't understand. He probably won't even be qualified as RFA next summer. No way he can play on the Leafs second line and make them better. Maybe not even the third line/
