Ranking Canadian Division

Créé par: BogoNorris
Équipe: 2020-21 Équipe personnalisée

Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Tier A: Montreal Canadiens

Tier B: Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets

Tier C: Calgary Flames

Tier D: Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers

Tier E: Ottawa Senators

The Montreal Canadiens are on the another level compared to the Leafs, and I can't see the Leafs winning the Canadian Division if you have Nic Petan, Pierre Engvall (lmao), Jason Spezza, Joe Thornton, Jimmy Vesey (Sabres reject), and Ilya Mikheyev on your Stanley Cup competing team. If half of these players played for contending teams such as the Canadiens, Knights, Avalanche, or Lightning, the player's would be on the taxi squad

They are at least in the same tier, if not Toronto in a tier above I agree.

I would support that the 2 teams are in the same tier, not sure how one could possibly argue that Toronto is a tier above. Currently the 2 teams have played the same number of games, and Montreal has one more point. They have also been dominating some teams, and realistically have been the better team in every game they have played so far this year. As the season progresses and games continue to be played in a very condensed schedule, this will further benefit Montreal. They do not have the top end talent that Toronto does, but they can roll all 4 lines evenly without losing anything on the ice. Really, if not for some ridiculous breaks in the first game of the season, Montreal would be 4 points up on Toronto at this point of the season. Montreal also has not benefitted from playing the weakest team in the division yet. The season will have many ebbs and flows for both teams over the next few months, and it will be fun to watch.

Haha, I wrote this when Toronto was ahead in the standings. I agree they are in the same tier, the top one, followed by the western teams, and then Ottawa.
