True story: i used to be a Wild season ticket holder and I decided to let my tix go around 4-5 years ago. He asked me, (paraphrasing) “would having a top 10 player in the world on the Wild make you reconsider?” I paused, thought about it for a moment, then replied, “No! The last thing the Wild need is another old player on a long term contract...even if the player is Evgeni Malkin!” Walz said, “Really?” I said, “Yes, really!” Call me back if they trade for a super star under 25.” Walz didn’t know what to say...

I applaud tempering the Malkin nonsense by adding a slightly reasonable trade for yet another bottom 6 c, very ok brand for MIN.
