Description

NYR Trade: Rags get the Top 4 LD and an upgrade over Blackwell/Lemieux on the 3rd line. They also are not forced to expose anyone vital due to how many ELDs are on the roster. Trouba/Fox/Lundkvist block Schneiders route to ice time so Rags may be open to moving him. Same thing with Kravtsov in Kakko and Laf, Sanford also plays a good two way game. Blues get a guy with more potential than Sanford and a long awaited RHD prospect. They throw in a pick because of the quality of the prospects and because they don’t have to expose either. Mikkola/Perunovich offer replacements to Dunn, Kostin gets a shot to fill Sanfords spot until Krav/Neighbors are ready. Both teams are better long term and ready to win now.

Hyman signing: I’m a huge Hyman fan and I doubt he leaves TOR but if he does, STL would be perfect for him. He’s what Schenn was in PHI and Chief would love him.

ED: we wait till after to sign Schwartz, protect ROR, VT, RT, JK, BS, DP and OS in forward group, CP, TK, and JF in defense and JB in goal. Seattle considers Barbashev and Scandella, but take young guy with perhaps more potential in Blais.

So wait, by that description are you saying a trade of Dunn and a pick for Schneider and Kravstov? Rangers decline in a heartbeat if that's it.

Hyman also isn't leaving Toronto. Like you've mentioned with Schwartz, they're likely waiting u till after the expansion draft to announce an extension so he doesn't need to be protected and doesn't have to worry about leaving Toronto. He likely signs cheaper than what you've got, good comparison is Connor Brown's deal in Ottawa.

Edit: when I posted this, the Rangers trade wasn't posted yet. But they still decline.

I'm a Blues fan and a Dunn fan, but no way in h*** we're getting Kravtsov and Schneider for Dunn and Sanford even with a 2nd thrown in.
