I dont entirely agree with this, Flames played like dog**** today, kinda like how Philly got dumpstered by Buffalo a week ago. Price is better than Markstrom (who didnt play) but not by much. There is no forward on Montreal close to as good as Gaudreau or Tkachuk and Defense is pretty evenly matched. Calgary controlled a good portion of that game but 2 early powerplay goals and a shorty completely took the drive out of them

I’d argue Gaudreau, Tkachuk and Lindholm would all be the best forwards on Montreal. You could argue Monahan as well. Plus we have Dube, Mange and Backs. You guys have 3 good lines, we have 3 good lines too but actual star power. On D, Weber and Petry would be our 2 best D, but past that, I’d argue we have a much better top 4, not to mention Valimaki who had a rough night, but has looked like a legitimate 1-2 at times. Price>Markstrom but Marks a great goalie who can out do Proce any night. Rittich>Allen most nights but he’s inconsistent

Yes Gaudreau Tkachuk and maybe Lindholm are the better players, but MTL chemistry + depth is better IMO

Calgary’s 12, the 4th line is irrelevant, but we have a lot better stars and our depth is underrated. Mangi could score 30 goals with a competent coach, Dube is a top line winger, Backlund is a great shutdown C

I left Vali and Romanov out because I haven’t watched Romanov enough to rank him and it would be unfair to include Vali and not Romanov. But some nights Vali has looked like a top pair dman

You have a 1st line and a decent 2nd line, but the bottom six isnt good

MTL 2 excellent 2nd line ( Danault and Suzuki line ), KK line is an OK 2nd line and our 4th line could easily be a 3rd line

I know it wasnt CGY best game, but since the beginning of the season, every lines contribute and that's why we havent lost in regulation yet

Dube has been playing top line all season, when he comes back from injury there is a very high chance he plays 1st line again

Drouin? No, probably not, the other 4 can all be 1st line caliber. You severely underrate how good Dube is though. I'm guessing it's because you haven't (or have barely) seen him play. He's only a sophomore.

Maybe 5 times during regular season ( full games ) and almost every playoffs games. ( I watch the highlights of the games I didn’t watched )

Regardless, he may not be considered a top liner in your books (yet) but he has earned a chance to play it in Calgary, so far he has done quite well there too

Tanev has been our best most consistent d man this year
It’s only two games but yes, Dube has been a top line winger
Tkachuk-Lindholm-Dube is a pretty good first line
Gaudreau-Monahan-Simon is a first line on most teams
Mangiapane-Backlund-Bennett is a line that could be a 2nd line. Mangi could be a two way 30 goal scorer if used properly, Bennett is probably a 3rd liner in the regular season but Bscklund is a great shutdown 2C
It’s going to happen, teams are going to be in slumps and get hot. Since every game is a 4 point swing it’s going to be very dramatic in the standings as well. Calgary just needs to make sure they don’t lose too much ground in this slump

he has lost a step. His 3 yrs remaining are a heavy burden on team.
