Calm down dude. Brent Sopel tweeted something about Toews having ALS and then deleted it is the only credible rumor I've seen. If that's true, yours and others comment suggesting he's holding out or playing golf are going to end up making a bunch of people looks like jerks and social media is full of morons. Toews is top shelf competitor; I think it's much safer to bet something serious is going on with him as opposed to buying into conspiracy theories posted on social media from morons who are bored with their own life.

Bowman said everything is status quo with Toews. To me that means no one knows anything. No progress is being made. And why would ALS if that is what it is keep him from opening night? I just think that combined with his offseason comments about the direction of the team doesn't bode well with fans. He's the captain and to me (I'm sure I'm not the only one) it looks like he's given up on chicago
