Virtanen is an overpaid 4th line winger, and that's the payment for taking an overpaid defenceman and retaining on a defenceman that's playing well?!?!?!

i think its a bit disingenuous to call virtanen either overpaid or 4th line - obviously struggling to start the season (like much of the canucks roster) but he's good for 15-20 goals per season, even in limited minutes. definitely not overpaid at 2.55 per year and cost-controlled

i realize also that i didnt delete the comment about 1 mill retained - you can see in the trade that there is no retention
