No I agree, it could be Bennett but depends if Seattle wants some veteran presence or wants a younger bottom 6 player.

He is but I don't think Philly can pay him and is pretty stacked with LW'ers. Next best thing is jersey?

I could see him going to Philly in free agency and Devils probably don't want another undersized player in their top 6

Ottawas done rebuilding so not futures, id think a good roster player like andersson/dube + or they just dont really have an incentive to move him

There is no way that Ottawa leaves Tkachuk open to an offer sheet. They would close it before the summer. That’s also a huge overpay for current production.

It is, but the only way an offer sheet ever goes through is with an overpay or unless a team is handicapped by cap space. Which Ottawa clearly isn't. Aho was Offered 5 x 8.4 and in term of current production is way ahead of Brady. Im curious what the cap is for Ottawa before they say, we'll take the 4 1st rd picks.

I don’t think you can just ask for an offer sheet until close to the RFA deadline. It doesn’t really happen unless there is a contract dispute.

What do you mean ask for an offer sheet? Teams can submit one to a player after they've been qualified a few days before July 1st, or in this case the 28th.

You submit one and they decide if they sign it or not. If their extension is done before then it can’t happen.

There’s two major requirements for an offer sheer, the player needs to actually sign the offer sheet, and the team needs to decline matching the offer.

Lol obviously which sparks the question of what amount causes ottawa to say they DONT match. Tkachuk signs it if hes offered the chance to play with his brother and make more money..

Thats the last offer sheet not too be matched, there has been a number of OS and they almost always get signed by the player, it's the team that matches. Obviously it's a long shot, but still an option.
