Don't think Seattle wants one of year Giordiano but no way they take 3 years of Tanev. Players like Hartman are getting 1m max right now.

Monahan doesn't lead in the room as much as people think. Heard Versteeg talking about it on the radio and said he is a perfect alternate captain and is a lead by example guy in the weight room and practice but doesn't speak up.

So we all know what happens in the locker room now days? You know Versteeg hasn’t been playing for Calgary since 2018!

Disagree. Monahan is more of a leader. Helps out people in need, and has been on the flames since like 2013. Tkachuk is just a little kid that is getting used to real Canadian hockey, where you can hit people, and if you are annoying you will get destroyed into the ice! Tkachuk has just gotten confidence in himself as people are hitting and beating him up, while Monahan has had that the whole entire time.

This is such an oilers POV response. Tkachuk is already the team leader Gio just happens to wear the C.

I mean it's been talked about for the past years to death on all the radio shows in Calgary which I would assume you haven't listened to a ton. I didn't know that an Oilers fan would know more about who should be the captain on the Flames than a guy who played two professional seasons with the two guys in question and now works for Sportsnet with connections to players all around the league. It's shocking that being that dumb is a choice you're actively making... it's impressive almost
