The TBL and MIN trades (Hertl and Johnson) are 2020-2021 trades (this year), done around TDL.

Vlasic and Jones are immovable objects.

That’s way too much for Hertl. He’s not as good as Dubois, and people were getting salty when I said a good center prospect, and a good defence man prospect.

No way middle of the road teams like Vancouver, and Minni made those trades, and think Tampa can trade Johnson for less than that. Nothing really in for Seattle except a never ending 8m cap hit.

This is a legit teardown nice job.

        Eriksson deal is okay

Hertl deal is a bit steep imo. Just think Addison AND two firsts is a hefty price even with Hertl retained

Not sure if we have to give up that much for Seattle to take Burns but not awful

        Tampa trade seems pretty solid

Devils trade I'm not sure how to feel about but the value is there so it's also pretty solid.

Also I like how Vlasic is playing goalie lol. He would probably be more helpful there tbh tears of joy

Aside from the trade value, why would the Wild ask you to retain on Hertl? They have over $14 million coming off next year from Johansson, Bonino, Bjugstad and Cole plus another $2 million from Greenway or Soucy in the expansion draft.

I have a brilliant (stupid?) trade proposal I'll be posting tonight where Hertl comes to the Wild. I think as others have said this too big of a package. Not to give my idea away, but there's is an absolutely perfect template for what a Hertl trade could look like that happened 3ish years ago.

Problem is we have to pay Ek, Fiala, and Kaprizov this offseason. I think if we traded for him we wouldn't ask for retention though.

?Ek gets a $2 million raise, Fiala gets a $3,375,000 raise, Kaprizov gets a $4 million raise, and Hertl gets $5,625,000 = $15 million?

Dumba is moved in the trade I made which opens up space for Hertl. Pretty much the only way we could make a trade work for a good center is if we moved Dumba

Devils decline, they have no need for doing that trade

        No way, San Jose

NJD aren't paying half that for Lebanc

        Can't wait.

Sorry as you can tell the post is an actual mess!

I forgot to put some clarifications in!!! Which is my fault! The post was slapped together and edited a lot.

        IN THE HERTL TRADE
        It’s Boldy or Addison!!!!

I’d prefer Boldy but I know Wild Fans love him

As for the Devils trade subban @9m should be a first and spec spot I went with Bahl. I don’t value bahl a lot so maybe that’s my fault. So part of the trade is subban and a first plus part of bahl then bahl the other spec and a 2nd for Labanc

The Tampa bay trade is aggressive but they get Nieto and they don’t lose alnefelt so idk I’m mixed on it but TJ is still a cap dump.

Subban has one year left (2021 summer) and would not cost a first and bahl to dump. Devils have more than enough cap to keep him for one year

Marleau at 6m cost a first. Subban @9m should be more. And yes but the devils could be getting guys in ufa/ trades. The assumption is the devils in the future need to dump subban not cause they feel like it/ not current day devils.

But as a rebuilding team Devils aren't trading their first with Subban. The Devils have around 8-10 mil to spend in free agency if they keep everyone. Even though Subban is not part of the Devils future, we do not need to pay to dump him, they are fine with having him.
