I mean if Seth Jones and RNH are willing to resign it could look pretty enticing tbh. A future top 6 in EDM of:

Laine-McDavid-Pulj
RNH-Holloway-Yams

Werenski-Bouchard
Broberg-Bear

Why? The amount of value they gain here is insane, and it'd tackle straight into the biggest issues of the entire roster.

LHD isn't one of the biggest issues on the roster going forward, IMO. Contract length means the Oilers won't be able to hold onto these guys anyhow, and if Laine "doesn't work out", who is going to have any appetite to pay him his insane demands this summer? I'd rather have Draisaitl for the next 5+ years and develop the next gen of defensemen from the prospects in the organization.

Insane amount is subjective. If he doesn't pan out, his demand is likely to get lower as well.

Edmonton D sucks. They have some interesting prospects, but are EDM really willing to wait for them for another 3-4 years? Werenski would immediately change this. He's better and will be better than any D in EDM organisation.

Also I'm taking some of your bad contracts off your hands precisely for the reason that they could try re-signing the guys.

But the Draisaitl point is acceptable. Who wouldn't like to have the guy. He's the MVP of the league, literally.

They are struggling right now, that's for sure. Part of that is lack of cohesion, we'll see if it works itself out over the next few weeks. And sure, Werenski would immediately become #1, but he isn't a big enough upgrade at LHD to justify trading Draisaitl. Nurse, Klefbom, Broberg, Samorukov, Koekkoek and Jones provide adequate support at that position now and into the future.

Big enough upgrade...dunno about that. I'd struggle thinking 10 better D-man than Werenski is in the league. With Nurse and rest of the names you mentioned I could provide 50. Big difference.

Also Neal is big one, considering you guys got rid of Milan f*cking Lucic by that guy.

I'd also say that Koskinen is overpaid. Not as much, but overpaid nonetheless.

And one thing - via this route I'm ensuring you won't lose no valuable D due to expansion draft.
