The odds are the first will be at the end of the first round 30-32. Jarry can bounce back with a good defence for once and francouz isn't good at all in my opinion.

There are far more important things to spend a 1st on than a marginal upgrade at the backup goalie position. If Jarry even is an upgrade at all that is.

Jarry could make a great goalie tandem with grubauer. In the late first rounds odds are your not going to find a boeser like the canucks did that late. At most in a average talented or even weak draft the guy you draft might not even ever play a full season. Now don't get me wrong knowing the avs scouting team you could find an all-star level guy but I just don't see that happening.Again this isn't meant to be serious at all its just a concept.

Avs found Timmins with the 32nd overall pick. Recently we took Barron at 25. I'd much rather have prospects like that than a minor upgrade in net. Or use the 1st on fixing a real problem, like getting a middle 6 C.

Not to mention that Avs would be adding $1.5m in capspace in your trade. Bad move.

Lol Calgary one might be the only one thats even remotely close.

Montreal is not giving up all their young stars and 1st rounders for a soon to be 34 year old. Thats just very near-sighted.

Oilers aren't giving up their top d-prospect who's on the verge of cracking the lineup after being properly developed, and a 1st for a soon to be 34 year old dman.

Its not that these players aren't good, because all of Crosby, Malkin and Letang are still top players in this league. Its that absolute best case scenario you get 2-4 more effective years from these guys. You are asking for other teams franchise players who will be effective for 10+ years. No GM in the world makes these trades.

"Blowing it up" doesn't mean you trade all your players way past their primes for other teams top prospects, young players and a boat load of 1st rounders. Cleary the opposing sides were not even slightly considered before you posted this haha.

Lmao yeah I kinda just used this as a concept on what would happen if pittsburgh just threw everything away. Like I said in the description this isn't meant to be serious at all and none of the sides should seriously do this in a real life scenario knowing the age and cap of these players. But I tried to find the right value for the players given.

That is the past we are looking to the future. You can't win future cups living in the past just ask the Pens!

Suzuki may not be better than Crosby but Suzuki + Romanov + Caufield combined are better than Crosby. Habs STILL decline.

You missed their true value by miles and miles.

Just based on length of contract, contract price and age and likely decline in the next 2-3 years

Crosby = Suzuki + Caufield + 1st + Struble
Malkin = Caufield + 1st + Norlinder (No roster players)
Letang = 1st + Puljujarvi
Guentzel = maybe gets Zary and a 1st
Zucker = 2nd + 3d
Jarry = Francouz + 3rd

also keep in mind none of these teams call Pittsburgh to initiate a trade this is Pittsburgh calling on other teams. Even based on this value most teams pass still.
