Yes Graves is better then all rn except Morrissey but that upgrade by far doesn’t make up for the glaring hole that Copp would leave

most those guys are young and have yet to prove they are 1st line material you need a d man that has experiense graves is your guy

Yes Heinola and Samberg are good prospects, but likely won't win you anything this season. Niku isn't a LHD. Stanley is a bit meh isn't he. There's a reason you need help on D, and it's because none of these guys are top 4 yet.

Copp is too important to this team, Graves would upgrade our defence yes, but the gains don’t outweigh the loss

A big reason of why I don’t like this trade is cause we have Heinola is the ranks, his skill set is something we severely lack and we’r instantly a better team with him in the lineup but don’t know if he’ll get sent back to the AHL or not... depends if him being in the lineup rn hurts his future development or not

And Stanley... well he’s 6’7, really buffed up in the off-season, makes smart plays with the puck and hits everybody not wearing blue in sight ( and he’s good at it.. so physical presence check

Don’t know Timmins well enough to offer something, no room for him on our right side anyway... jet need a top tier def (Bryam or Makar level) which is a problem cause we have no assets expendable to get a comparable player

I wonder with the PLD-Laine trade if WPG would be willing to move Stastny for a D man. He would be a good 3C and PP guy for the Avs

Stastny's caphit makes it unworkable for Colorado, unless it's a deadline day trade.
