It's amazing how there's 6 new faces (Included Shaw since he didn't play last season) in the forward group yet the 4th line is somehow the same as the Edmonton bubble. Mind boggling how considerably worse this team has gotten. Suter and Kurashev are good, but you can't replace Toews and Dach with the others.

Nobody is trying to replace Toews and Dach, JC is icing the best lineup he can with the players he has.

Without Toews, Dach and Nylander of course the team is worse.

Health not withstanding, Boqvist not being on the ice for a few games I think will actually help him. Debrincat though is a punch in the gut.

Except Hagel for Highmore. I think Highmore has been good but so far Hagel is a little bit better. They should be playing Hagel, Kampf and Higmore. Carps is not very valuable at this point and would rather see Hagel and Highmore being a high energy extremely fast forechecking nightmare with Kampf playing extremely good defense.

I'm not saying they're trying to replace them, as obviously this team was on pace to take a step back by losing Crawford has taken multiple steps back due to injury. Not sure if he's truly icing the best line up at this point, the difference is probably so minuscule anyways.



I agree, no reason not to play the kids at this point. Your boy Carlsson is getting another crack tonight.

I haven't liked Carlsson since the day we acquired him. He's strong defensively, but there is no reason we should have acquired a guy like that when we had guys in the system we could of groomed. Wallmark and Janmark are other guys unless we are unloading them for assets at the TDL. Janmark is the best of the 3 but again, we aren't really competing so why?
