Take the terrible Severson trade and move the prospects and move it to the Jones one, then they may consider it. Also I wouldn't waste the money on Halak, I'd assume Melnichuk is the backup at this point (or I hope for our cap space.) Also Leonard should be in the top 9 if not top 6, he's doing it already why would he not make the roster the season after

I mean Burns -> Seattle isn't a bad start at all so that's A-okay. But at that rate we'd just rather keep Jones. Not to mention the fact that I think it takes more to dump that contract. Not sure why either team would do that Severson trade as well. Devils lose a good defensman on a decent contract while retaining 2M and the Sharks throw away another potential lottery pick and 2 of our better prospects. We have Merkley coming up, he should be ready by next year for sure. No real need for Severson.

He is a Kings fan and knows very little about the sharks except that we are "horrible" basically going to spew the same things many others do on here lacking anything of real originality or substance to say.

Sharks are very bad team defensively and lack forward depth, but they're not going to be as bad as they were last year.
