Oh every character was horribly written. They destroyed Luke. Rey was the biggest bore. Just yawwwwwn everything she does is perfect. Zero conflict. Kylo was probably the worst villain ever. Got beat up by a janitor.

Then everything was just lazy. The main problem of last Jedi was running out of gas. That’s insane. All three of them were 0 out of 10.

Rey, Rose, Finn, Holdo and Kylo/Ben Solo have got to be among the worst written SW characters ever lol

TFA is when SW died for me. You can't build a good building without good foundations. EP7, the trilogy's foundation, sucks ass, so the trilogy can't be good.

Also it doesn't help when you have ZERO plan going into the trilogy and 2 directors who spent their time trying to re-write what the previous one did....

I don’t think of it as ruining the Chosen One prophecy. If Vader hadn’t thrown Palpatine down the shaft in that moment, Luke would be dead, he and Palpatine would likely have escaped the Death Star, and without Luke or a means to kill the Emperor, the Rebellion likely wouldn’t last. By stopping Sidious from killing Luke, Vader allowed the Empire to get overthrown, and reduce Palpatine to a shadow of his former self.

And I wouldn’t call it much fan service with those characters. Poe specifically is probably the exact opposite of fan service in the movie. And if you talk about Finn being force-sensitive or the Reylo stuff, yeah that’s fan service, but it doesn’t take away from the movie.

Wow, I mean I know goals are sporadic for him. But that is still surprising.

Anakin's whole character arc is one of slavery

He was a slave to Watto as a child, then he became a slave to the Jedi order, than he became a slave to Palps. His whole arc meant to be concluded by killing Palps... OOOPS the mouse ruined it

When Kylo is the best character, you know it's bad. Rey literally had no obstacles to overcome, no struggle, nothing. They tried to erase the real storyline instead of adding to it, which is why they failed so miserably, and why The Mandalorian succeeded.
