How I want to experiment this lineup with Pasta back

Description
Pastrnak set to make his return this weekend vs Washington!

Here are a few things I would like to see Bruce experiment with the lines

-Pastrnak returns to the first line RW (as expected)

-Jake Debrusk to third line LW: Coyle and Smith looked awesome with a sizeable Trent Frederic next to them. I'm curious to see how an aggresive, forechecking Debrusk could look next to them.

-Don't move Nick Ritchie (yet): I like the second line and the chemistry they are forming. Even though Nick Ritchie has 1 5v5 point, I just think they're playing fairly solid on that second line. Could make the case to drop Ritchie to third line LW

-Anders Bjork is the odd man out and I don't think anyone should be surprised about that based on his play thus far.

-Kase's injury has me really scratching my head as we still have no real update on his status. Studnicka is the guy for now.

- Not touching that defense at all. They've been excellent

POWERPLAY
- David Pastrnak takes Krejci's spot on the left side point (his usual office)

-David Krejci drops to the second unit PP at his usual office next to McAvoy.
-Unfortunately, Jakub Zboril is the odd man out of the powerplay unit...unless someone else might be? I really liked what I saw from Zboril on the PP, I just don't know who else they'd take out.

PENALTY KILL
-Not touching a thing, the PK has been pretty solid

really thought we'd see a little more from Bjork. Still time but a little dissapointed (Cassidy changing the lines every period doesnt help)
But if im being honest, Kuraly has been their worst player in just about every game. Taking stupid penalties, bad turnovers yet Cassidy still puts him out in every situation he can put him in. He should take a seat for a game or two, seems like he has a couple screws loose. Bjork-Frederic-Wagner could be a really good line

difference between Kuraly and Bjork is that the leash is longer on Kuraly.I just have more confidence with Frederic playing along Wagner and Kuraly than I do with Bjork. Bjork doesn't look like he fits all that great on the 4th line

I actually like this idea. Studnicka seems to have clicked more with Krejci then Bergeron/Marchand (might just be that hes gotten more comfortable as games go on) Ritchie has earned every right to stay put on L2, Debrusk - Coyle - Smith would be a matchup nightmare.

I think if it reaches expectations, Debrusk on that third line can create one of the best 3rd lines in the league. Obviously this is assuming Nick Ritchie keeps up his effectiveness on that second line

I figured. Hopefully he's back sooner than later, really still want to see how he can do with a larger sample size (again)

Not sure what you mean by "Anders Bjork is the odd man out and I don't think anyone should be surprised about that based on his play thus far"

Bjork hasn't been bad and you can't really do something when you go from line 3 to 1 to 4 in 4-5 games. Meanwhile, Kuraly hasn't been very good so far. But I saw your answer to the first comment.
Agreed for the lines and Cassidy probably goes with them until Kase returns. If Zboril keeps his level of play, I would move him up so 48-67-55 on the left side. Lauzon has been good but he can't play on the top pair for long term.

PP units are both really good based on the personal but unit 1 gets like 75% of the time so Ritchie and Grzelcyk's spots aren't guaranteed with all other options. I guess we roll with Ritchie as long as he's good.

I think we'll see something like:

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Rithcie - Krejci - DeBrusk
Frederic - Coyle - Smith
Bjork - Kurlay - Wagner

I think Bruce really wants to get a look at this Frederic-Coyle-Smith line. They absolutely abused PHI last game. When those 3 were on the ice at 5v5 together:

Outshot PHI: 7-0
Outscored PHI: 2-0
Out chanced PHI: 5-0

^That was going up mostly against the Hayes line at 5v5.

Cassidy wants to keep a big 3rd line so doubt he drops JD there. One thing i would really like to see Cassidy test is kase on the 1st line and pasta one the 2nd with krech & JD. If the experiment works that forward depth is insane.

You can't be satisfied with Bjork nor Kuraly's play. Difference is Kuraly has paid his dues in this league, Bjork has had some flashes. This is all competition right now and when Pasta comes back, I can't see them scratching Studnicka in order to play Bjork. I do agree that Bjork has been bouncing around, but he hasn't looked particularly good in any line he was on. I think a scratch could wake him up a little.

I don't hate this idea. Only thing is I'd really prefer if JD can move back to his left side. I know the Frederic-Coyle-Smith line looked killer, I'd still like to see more of it before I judge this future lineup. Frederic has looked god on the 4th line as well, so maybe Nick Ritchie to the third line LW? It's a tricky scenario
