I agree. I do like Kap and think he’s a good fit, but I’d obviously rather have the prospects (though we definitely wouldn’t have taken Amirov) and signed Toffoli instead.

he said that they had a bright future and thats why he wanted to play there

That's fair, but the Pens did say they wanted to get younger. Also, Kapanen was out of the top 6 because he was on the RW behind Nylander and Marner. Hard to surpass that. The organization had a big connection to Kappy, so they brought him back. The only thing that sucks is that I think that if the Pens waited a bit and did not get everything done so early in the summer, they maybe could have paid less for him, but it is what it is..
