If he flips him (extended) at the TDL for assets, I would try and fetch a top RHD prospect or a LW prospect. Could ARZ be interested in a Danault-Soderstrom flip? Minny for a trade including Boldy?

Then you hope for Evans to step up for a while and Poehling to evantually become that 3rd C. Of course, the main goal would be to keep Danault. 5y at 5,25 is a great offer. Maybe the team succes will make him wanna stay despite his reduced role

Yeah, no. Minnesota isn't trading boldy. Minnesota doesn't need a defensive minded c w hff en they already have one . Also, Minnesota can get him in free agency

Danault as good as he is doesn't warrant Boldy. So that's not happening.

I'd happily send Bonino + Beckman and maybe a pick for Danault however.

Alexander Wennberg on a 3 year deal at $3M per season. That would restore depth at NHL level for centers without having to put too much pressure on Evans and/or Poehling. Wennberg is responsible defensively and can provide a little offence as well. Although Evans as been very good so far this year, not sure he will be able to produce 35 + pts a year at the NHL level - which is what MTL would want from it's 3C. And I'm still not sure about Poehling and where he fits in. I don't see him being more than a good 4C at the NHL level, with 3C being a little out of reach imo. But time will tell I guess.

Kotkatniemi would be the 3C and you'd have a massive hole in the top 6 because KK has done nothing to prove that he is ready for a role outside of the bottom 6 in the NHL yet.

I dk man 1 goal and 3 assists, (4 pts) in 6 games on the third line isn't that bad tbh - and last playoffs he looked really good. If Mtl needed him to step up on the 2nd I think he could do it tbh.
