i think that the jets won that trade. they overpaid for dubois for sure, but laine won't fit into the columbus system as well as dubois will into the winnipeg system.
dubois and connor could fit really well together, only thing winnipeg is missing is 1 more top 4 defender and a fringe top 6 winger. if they get one, then dubois can become 2C, and the scheiff-dubois-stastny is one of the best (top 3 for sure) 1-2-3 center pairs in the league.
enter getzlaf and ekholm. ekholm is a capable LD on a solid contract, and getzlaf is the ideal 2LW or 3C. let the 3 younger stars (connor, dubois, ehlers) take off, and let the veterans (getzlaf or stastny + wheeler) play with scheiffle as your second line. jets r cup contenders if they do this imo.
