If Hamilton leaves in the off season as UFA, and they trade Pesce, the top right shot D on the roster is....nobody. They wouldn’t have one.

Well who knows. He’s been eligible for and extension for quite some time now and hasn’t signed. At this point it has to be considered a “who knows,” situation. I would pick Carolina as the most likely destination, but I think the field makes up 50% of his probable destinations.

Extensions usually happen pretty soon after the player is eligible. So yes, in the off season, but that would be last off season for Hamilton. With every passing day it becomes more likely Hamilton goes to market.
