You can disagree with it sure; but everyone who wasn’t a habs fan said PLD started with KK, meanwhile some habs fans said it started with danault. Clearly they were very wrong. Maybe they didn’t want to pay KK+ and that’s fine; but they were very wrong about the market price

I can't speak for everyone, but I think most habs fans knew it would take KK or Suzuki and thats why most habs fans knew Dubois wasn't coming to MTL.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with putting out your best offer of packages including Drouin or Danault with picks and prospects. In the end theres no way MTL would be willing to match the offer WPG did.

It's a good fit for both teams since they both had players who wanted to be traded... otherwise a deal likely doesn't take place at all.
