I'd be happy if I were a Jackets fan

As a habs fan I love this, as a Jets fan, not so much.

Really sad to see Laine go. PLD will be good, but it’s not like Winnipeg needed a centre. Hopefully PLD fits there.

And CBJ instantly becomes one of the most interesting teams in the NHL, to see what happens with Laine when he’s back from injury/quarantine. CBJ now has Max Domi as their #1C, and Laine ends up with just as good (or worse) line ayes as he had in Winnipeg. And the Torts-Laine dynamic is probably what is most fascinating about this.

Just because of the situations both teams were forced into, I think this might be a lose-lose.

A fair deal. I like it for both sides.

PLD - “I want to play in a big NHL market”

GMJK - “I’m trading you to Winnipeg, enjoy.”

Definitely a lose-lose for Laine and PLD. A maybe for the Jets, a win for CBJ and Roslovic

Laine is going to miss even Stastny badly. Dunno if Texier can pick up his game fast enough to center him, but got serious doubts about Domi being the centre.

Wouldn't hold my breathe for a long deal on Laine's behalf.
Dubois going to gringe in Winnipeg until he gets to go to Montreal.
In my books CBJ wins, atleast Laine showed willingness to play for his salary. Next deals decide really.

Should be Laine with expiring contract, but guessing PLD anyways.

That's wasn't confirmed but if he wanted a big market, he got the smallest one instead
